Syllabus

Our syllabus focuses on two main forms of martial arts: striking, and grappling.

In addition, each class includes energetic warm-up and cool-down games, allowing our ninjas to blow off some steam whilst improving fine motor skills and working together as a team.

Striking

Striking forms the basis for many different martial arts and goes hand-in-hand with improving balance, motor skills, and self control.

Jiu Jitsu

Jiu jitsu is a ground-based, grappling martial art, and provides a great basis to teach strategy, resilience, and self defence.

Shuriken Jitsu

Every ninja needs a throwing star! Our students learn to throw paper throwing stars, or shurikens, and these are used in fun warm ups and games.

Games

We like to end on a high, so each of our sessions finishes with a fun, engaging game.

Stripe System

Celebrating success is really important. As our ninjas progress through the syllabus, they are rewarded with a series of belts and stripes.

Each student earns a series of four stripes before progressing to the next belt. This helps us recognise and reward hard work, dedidication and skill on a session-by-session basis and helps our ninjas see how far they’ve come.

Belt System

Every ninja will have the opportunity to progress through a series of eight grades, starting with their white belt.

With each step of the journey, our students learn new skills, refine their technique, and improve their confidence both on and off the mat.

Our instructors are constantly reviewing students’ progress. New stripes and belts are awarded on a case-by-case basis when students demonstrate the competence required for the next belt.
